About Doctor Hartmann

Dr. Hartmann decided to pursue a career in medicine because of a strong desire to help people. After attending Cornell University and the University of Central Florida, and graduating with a degree in liberal arts, he got exposed to osteopathic medicine with the mentorship of David Boesler, D.O. and William Crow, D.O.—through the lineages of Dr. J. Gordon Zink from Iowa, and Dr. Rollin E. Becker from Texas.

Dr. Hartmann graduated with his doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University, focusing on both osteopathic medicine and functional medicine. Fascinated with pathophysiology he then decided to challenge himself and pursue a residency in internal medicine at Broward Health Medical Center. Dr. Hartmann has experience in all settings of acuity, from preventive care in the outpatient clinic to the mechanically-ventilated patient in the ICU. He is comfortable taking care of complicated patients with multiple complex diseases. Combining his knowledge of internal medicine with osteopathic medicine and functional medicine, Dr. Hartmann has an integrative approach to healthcare that provides patients with an individualized plan for optimal wellness. Despite his intense training, his skills in musculoskeletal medicine make him a true asset to our practice and our community.

In his free time he enjoys contact sports, playing the drums, and enjoying the beach. He is fluent in Spanish and Dutch.
